Last night Rod took his girlfriend, Sarah, to the restaurant. First they went to the Italian restaurant but, as there weren't any free tables near the window, they went to the Chinese restaurant. They found a free table by the window, sat down and called the waiter. He was a small man – very polite and smiling all the time. They ordered chicken, rice and cooked vegetables. Rod liked everything, especially the chicken but Sarah didn't eat much of the chicken. She liked the vegetables only. Rod thought that she was afraid of bird flu. He didn't know that she was on a diet at the moment. They didn't have dessert because she didn't want any. They talked and watched the people on the street. It was a lovely evening for Rod and Sarah.
